Back in January 2015, Jer and I traveled down to The Bahamas for one of our almost annual trips. As always, we stayed at the Paradise Island Beach Club, where Jer’s parents have owned a timeshare for close to 30 years! Jer has been going down there since he was little, but our first trip together was in 2007. This trip was our 5th!

The trip was carrying on as usual, with lots of sun and fun, and tropical drinks! On Tuesday afternoon, we decided to take a walk down the beach in search of sea urchin shells. We walked all the way down Cabbage Beach, to the far end in search of shells, but came up empty handed, although we did find a bunch of washed up sunglasses and a beach chair!

The sun was starting to set, so we gave up on our shell hunt and headed back for the beach club. As we were getting back I looked up toward the stairs that lead to the pool deck from the beach and spotted THIS:

Tough to tell the scale in this pic, but those are full-sized beach towels!

Stunned, I turned around to find Jer down on one knee!!!

Needless to say, I said yes!!!

We celebrated back at the beach club with Chris and Monica and toasted with glasses of rosé, then we all went to dinner at Café Matisse, our favorite restaurant in the Bahamas!
