SNOW DAYS!
Greetings from a VERY snowy Glen Cove!

We’re buried under almost 2′ here, and naturally that has us dreaming of our summer wedding, and not surprisingly it’s coming quickly!!
It’s just about 5 months until the big day, and Wednesday is our 1-year engagement anniversary! Crazy how time FLIES!!!
There have been some changes in plans, as expected. The biggest change is we’re no longer holding our ceremony at Point Judith Lighthouse. Dealing with the Coast Guard has proven challenging to say the least. While we were granted permission to have the ceremony there, we decided it would be best to go to a place where we had more control, and didn’t have to worry about our ceremony being preempted by a Homeland Security issue.
Our new ceremony venue is South Ferry Church! It’s a very cute, non-denominational church dating back to 1850. While it’s not ON the water, you can see the water down the road. As an added benefit, the ceremony will be inside, thus no need to worry about weather variables.

Regarding our hotel block, several folks have booked rooms, which is great! There’s actually only 6 rooms left in our original block. We can’t hold any additional rooms until our first block is filled, so the sooner you make reservations the better! We found out there’s a bunch of college events going on around town that weekend, and hotels are filling up FAST! If you haven’t booked a room yet, please do so ASAP. There’s no charge to reserve, and you can cancel up until 24 hours before your reserved date.
If you have reserved a room, there was a slight bit of confusion with the rates through the website, but they have been resolved, and you should be receiving an updated confirmation email from the hotel. To avoid confusing the web reservation system, the hotel is suggesting you book the room for just one person (although the rooms can hold up to 4 people.)
Looking forward to celebrating with you all SOON!
